BBC and ITV join forces to keep Six Nations free-to-air

Good news rugby fans, the Six Nations are staying free-to-air.

According to The Guardian, the BBC have joined forces with ITV in order to secure the rights over Sky, who were allowed to bid for the first time in an attempt to increase revenue for the tournament.

Fortunately for fans, the BBC struck a partnership with ITV to ensure that rugby’s oldest international tournament would remain on free TV, as BT never really showed any interest and Sky were unwilling to commit to a large package.
