Teenage Japanese tennis player hits the shot of the century (Video)

What a shot...

Ben Kenyon

If humans are still playing tennis in 1,000 years we doubt there will be many shots that beat this.

Even if you don’t like tennis, even if you don’t understand tennis or even if you’ve never heard of the game, this shot will astound you.

It wasn’t played by one of the sport’s heavyweights like Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer, the shot was hit by young Japanese player Yoshihito Nishioka.

The 19-year-old, who is ranked 134 in the world, was in the middle of a frenetic rally against Jared Donaldson in the Comerica Bank Challenger when he his the most sublime point-winning behind-the-back shot.

Boom! Now we know what the tennis equivalent of *drops mic is.
