Lionel Messi and Adidas have officially launched the “Backed by Messi” campaign, which sees the Argentine endorse ten of the game’s brightest talents.
Each young player will be wearing Messi’s new, specially designed Messi 15 boot and will form part of Team Messi.
A couple of Premier League based stars have been selected, with Chelsea’s Brazilian, Robert Kenedy, being joined by Manchester United’s James Wilson. Other members of the team hail from the USA, Portugal, Russia, France and Italy.
In the future, each player will be recording their own content for a series of episodes that will appear on Adidas’ YouTube channel.
