Father who upgraded to first class without family confronted by wife mid-flight for talking to other women

'If my husband took the upgrade and left me in economy with 2 kids he wouldn’t make it out alive'

In a now-viral TikTok, Jordynn Wynn claimed the unnamed man, who she said was in his late 30s or early 40s, started chatting to her after she was moved to the front of the plane.

About 20 minutes later, Wynn said the man's wife confronted him, Nine.com.au reported.

In her post, viewed almost 720,000 times by Sunday afternoon, Wynn explained the pair were both working on their laptops when the flight attendant came around offering drinks.

She ordered water, at which point the man informed her that it was "unlimited free drinks", and the conversation started flowing.

The man then tells her he's a professor working in nature conservation and he's "going on a trip" to speak about it.

Wynn says the topic is "super interesting" to her so she asks lots of questions, "like not flirting... just chatting about nature conservation."

Wynn continued: "At some point, he actually tells me his wife is in the back with the two kids because he’s very far behind in the project and he was sitting in first class so he could get it finished because he also randomly got upgraded," she said in the post, which is aptly captioned, 'most awkward encounter '.

"And, literally, as if on cue," Wynn said the man's wife appeared with two young children, she estimated were aged two and five.

Wynn claimed she “plops the babiest, baby” on her husband’s lap and said: "If you’re not going to work, then the least you can do is watch one of the babies."

The TikTok user claimed the man tried to discuss the issue with his wife, who said she’d seen him relaxing for 20 minutes while she was struggled with the kids.

"She just ends up leaving and she just leaves the baby in his lap," Wynn said, adding: "What partner leaves their partner in the back of a plane while they’re in first class drinking whisky, with like a two-year-old and a five-year-old on like a three, four-hour flight?"

Most of the comments on the TikTok video have squarely sided with the wife.

One person wrote: "Girl if I was sitting in the back of the plane with a baby and toddler and watching my husband chit chat with a cute girl in 1st class the whole time."

Another commenter added: "If my husband took the upgrade and left me in economy with 2 kids he wouldn’t make it out alive."

A third shared a similar experience: "My husband left me with our daughter when he was upgraded to 1st on a 6-hour flight. Whenever I think about it, I buy myself something nice."

Last month, people called on a woman to divorce her husband after it was revealed that he allegedly flies first class while leaving his wife and children in economy.
