Woman calls for adults only flights after listening to a child cry during her journey

Morgan Lee said even her noise cancelling headphones were no match for the kid

A woman has called on airlines to offer child-free flights after sitting through a three-hour flight from hell which she turned into a viral TikTok.

Morgan Lee, from Florida, made the request during a video she posted late last week, where the upset kid’s scream could be heard throughout.

“Why isn’t there such a thing as adult only flights? I would pay so much money [for that],” she said with the video which is nearing 700,000 views.

The 24-year-old added: “The flight was three hours and I listened to this the entire time.

“I have noise cancelling headphones, the child was well over five years old, and they sat directly behind me while kicking my chair as the mother slept.”

Parents did not entertain Lee’s suggestion as all, hitting back at Lee for being inconsiderate of the difficulties involved in parenting.

One user said: “And this is why people/parents/mums have anxiety when leaving the house. Because no grace is given.”

A second rather sarcastically added: “Poor you. My heart goes out to you and the amount of hours you endured another human’s cries. I hope you’re better now.”

The video was also ‘dueted’ by parents who branded her “disgusting” and a “cretin”.

Quite pointedly, one user pointed out if Lee wanted to pay “so much” for flights without children, there was an easy, albeit not cheap, solution: “They’re called private planes and you can book a private flight and pay as much as you want to have the plane for yourself.”

Some parents were more sympathetic in their responses, with one saying:  “As a mum, I want an adult-only flight too.”

According to a 2017 survey loads of people want the same thing as Lee.

According to Business Insider, half of parents who took part in the study believed they should have to sit in a designated section for the comfort of others.

Some international airlines such as Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Scoot Airlines, and IndiGo have already introduced kid-free zones.
