Gerrard thanks Chelsea fans for 'turning up for once'...

Steven Gerrard was given a rough ride by Chelsea supporters in Liverpool's 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, but hit back with a dig of his own after the game.

Asked about his standing ovation when leaving the pitch in the 79th minute, Gerrard, who scored the Reds' equaliser, declined the chance to thank the Chelsea fans.

"Chelsea fans have shown respect for a couple of seconds, but they've slaughtered me all game," he said.
