Not only have the Saints entertained us with their exciting brand of attacking football, but they have managed the impossible – an official club video that’s actually hilarious.
Comedian Tom Davis plays Dr Barry Gale, the national game’s first ever ‘Player Integration Officer’, as part of the club’s #ShowYourStripes kit launch campaign.
It’s like The Office meets W1A, and is groundbreaking in that it’s an attempt at comedy by a Premier League club that’s not remotely cheesy or cringeworthy – and that’s including footballers too!
It’s a hefty 8 mintutes and 29 seconds long, so best to treat it like a comedy short rather than a quick watch. But trust us – it’s worth it…
