One Real Madrid player is fed up with Rafa Benitez constantly substituting him

Are the natives getting restless at the Bernabeu?

It does not take much for Real Madrid fans to lose patience, but it seems the players are less than satisfied with Rafael Benitez too.

Karim Benzema scored his sixth La Liga goal of the season to give Real a 1-0 lead in the Madrid derby.

But the Frenchman was sitting in the dugout by the time Luciano Vietto scored the equaliser in the 83rd minute, having been replaced by Mateo Kovacic.

It was the fifth time in six La Liga starts that Benzema has been replaced, and it seems as though he’s fed up.

“Substitutions are what the coach decides, I’m just there to help my team-mates,” Benzema said.

“It’s true I’m fed up of being taken off. I’m calm and will continue to work so I’m not always subtituted. He took me off to get a result, for defensive reasons.

“It’s true that the electronic board always shows the No.9. Ask Benitez why that is.”
