As a former manager of Celtic, Neil Lennon is used to coming up against opponents with significantly fewer resources.
But we doubt the Bolton boss has looked to the opposite dugout and seen a child barking instructions – until now, that is.
11-year-old Dan Fryer led AFC Fylde of the Conference North to a hard-earned draw against a Bolton XI containing a number of first-teamers, leaving Lennon with egg on his face.

The youngster traded in his responsibilities as ball-boy to take charge of substitutions and a pre-match team-talk, while he even held a press conference as ‘manager’.
“After this, it’s really inspired me and I really want to be a footballer – even more than I did before,” said Dan, who was given the honours after a competition winner was unable to lead out the non-league team.
We look forward to see him taking England to the 2042 World Cup.
