Every year, women from all over the world come to the town of Tralee in the south of Ireland to compete for the title of the Rose of Tralee.
Unlike your average beauty contest, the Rose of Tralee is much more focused on the contestants’ personalities and interests.
So when the Germany representative, the Birmingham-born Roisin Ni Mathuna, told organisers she was “a huge Aston Villa fan”, they decided to do something special for her.
After rolling out the FA Cup to remind her of her team’s 4-0 drubbing in May’s final, they also revealed a short video of support from Aston Villa’s Leandro Bacuna. The only problem is that Ni Mathuna had no idea who she was watching.
