King’s Guards are back at it again
Back when they were simply called Queen’s Guards (RIP Queen Elizabeth II), the guards for the monarch made headlines with their commitments towards the job.
Anyone whose been to London and visited the likes of Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London should know exactly what to expect from the no-nonsense cavalry and other infantry members serving around royal residences.
Now, a King’s Guard had a little girl running away in terror after he marched towards her and yelled ‘stand clear’.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, the guard can be seen walking from an alleyway with so much purpose and a sword in hand.
Meanwhile, in his path a young girl can be seen standing obliviously – because that’s what children do – while possibly posing for a picture.
Focused on getting the little one out of the way, so he can continue his march, the guard shouts ‘stand clear,’ right before she runs out of sight as the guard carries on like nothing happened.

The video has been viewed more than 3.4 million times has left people online divided and debating away.
Many thought he was out of hand, with one writing: “Regardless what their job is. That’s mean and uncalled for.”
Commenting on the clip, one person said: “Did he really need to scare the little one like that?”
A third wrote: “Guys how was she supposed to know he was gonna walk round the corner?”
However, others felt sorry for the guard, arguing that he was simply doing what he was hired to do.
One person wrote: “Parents should’ve told the kid to stay close, it’s not exactly a well kept secret that the King’s Guards are scary and shout.”
