Elizabeth Rose almost had a very awkward day at work
A British mum has found out the hard way that temporary tattoos aren’t always so temporary.
Elizabeth Rose explained on TikTok that she put the tattoos on her face for Halloween, but they proved far more permanent than she thought and made her very nervous about going to work the following day.
In the video, viewed more than 1.4m times, Rose showed how difficult the skeleton stickers were to get off mouth and forehead.
Rose revealed she put on the tattoos for a bit of fun with her granddaughter, before realising they didn’t want to come off.
She said in the video: “Put a tattoo sticker on, join in a bit of Halloween, you know? Put some on my granddaughter as well, she’s seven, and my daughter rings up going ‘has it come off?’
“Well, it can’t be that difficult, surely?”
Rose then picked up a cotton pad to try and scrub the spooky sticker off her face. It didn’t budge.

She then tried to remove the sticker on her forehead. Same result.
Rose can be heard sighing: “F**k sake, I have meetings tomorrow.”
After some scrubbing, the 46-year-old managed to get the sticker off, telling one follower that her meeting the next day was “colourful” due to her inflamed skin.
Undeterred, however, Rose later put up a second video to test some of the removal remedies suggested in the comments section. The second tattoo, was even more daring than the first. Brighter and bolder.

First, she tried parcel tape, having told her followers she was going to try sellotape, baby oil, hand sanitiser, vodka and more.
In the follow up video Rose can be seen pressing the sticky side of the packing tape into her skin before lifting the tape.
This time the temporary tattoo was exactly that.
Rose was stunned, saying: “What the f***k?”
She tried three more times with the tape and was shocked at how easy it was to remove this way.
Laughing, she then informed viewers she could no longer be bothered trying “the hand sanitiser, the nail varnish remover, or the olive oil, or the normal sellotape”.
She added: “I might as well drink the vodka and be done with it.”
