It has been two years since we’ve last seen Alex Ferguson furiously chewing gum, demanding an extra few minutes of injury-time and winning trophies with more regularity than clockwork.

The iconic former Manchester United manager has been enjoying his retirement by giving golfers pep-talks, hanging out with Cristiano Ronaldo and harassing Michael Carrick, among other things.

Govan’s most famous son is also a keen Andy Murray fan, and he’s just one of the many faces in the crowd today as the British number one meets Roger Federer on centre court.

By a marvelous coincidence, Arsenal hero Thierry Henry took his seat next to Ferguson and the duo will have had a great time catching up, though the Internet can be a wonderful thing at times.

Maybe Fergie still holds a grudge towards the Frenchman for all those wonderful goals that he scored against United over the years.
