Lovren forced to take drastic action following social media abuse

Poor fella...

JOE

Dejan Lovren’s bad weekend continues.

The defender’s performance in Liverpool’s shock 3-0 loss to West Ham at Anfield on Saturday was the stuff of nightmares.

Lovren was badly at fault for the Hammers’ second goal. Failing to clear, or control, the ball 20 yards from goal, the Croatian was embarrassingly dispossessed before Mark Noble slotted home.

The 26 year old, who had been impressive in Liverpool’s opening three games of the season, would most likely have wanted to go home and quickly forget his terrible day at work.

However, Lovren’s Instagram account came under siege from disgruntled fans, and the abuse was seemingly so bad that the defender deactivated the account…
