A few characters will have aged a few years next episode

House of the Dragon actor Milly Alcock is set to be replaced in the next episode.

The Game of Thrones prequel has had fans engrossed since the first episode aired in August.

Millions tuned in on Monday night to watch the fifth episode of the HBO show, which is set 200 years before the drama seen in GoT.

House of the Dragon is set across a much wider time frame than GoT. So, some of the younger actors will replaces by older ones for episode six – including 22-year-old Alcock, who plays the King’s daughter Rhaenyra.

The older Rhaenyra, who will be around a decade older, will be played by Emma D’Arcy. The 30-year-old Londoner has previously been seen in comedy horror series Truth Seekers by Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, and Netflix drama Wanderlust.

Emily Cream who plays Alicent Hightower in House of the Dragon, will also be replaced by 28-year-old Olivia Cooke, whose other work includes American sci-fi hit Ready Player One.

Speaking at the LA premier, Cooke said Alicent is the “complete polar opposite of who she is”.

“She is a product of the patriarchy, and she’s quite a proud product of that. She’s a traditionalist, and she believes in order, and in ruling the kingdom in the way things have always been done.

“She doesn’t want any change, whereas I’m a staunch progressive. So it was quite interesting to try and tap into that.”

House of Dragon episode six will be released at 2am on Monday, September 26.
