Love is in the air.
Michael J Fox and Tracy Pollan are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary and they’ve marked the occasions with a series of beautiful and heartwarming tributes to one another.
Fox first met his future wife, Tracy Pollan, when she played the role of his girlfriend on Family Ties back in the 80s. Their on screen romance blossomed into a love filled relationship off the cameras and the pair tied the knot in 1988.
However it wasn’t all roses and cushions. Following his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 1991, Fox went into self-destruction mode, almost destroyed himself and his marriage too.
His alcoholism came to a head when he woke one morning to find a mentally exhausted Pollan considering leaving him for good. Looking over him, Pollan asked: “Is this what you want?” In that moment, Fox decided never to pick up the bottle again.
But now, their bond couldn’t be stronger.
Celebrating their 35 years of marriage, Pollan took to Instagram to write: “35 years!!! Happy anniversary my love. Here’s to many more glorious adventures together. I could not love you more.”
Fox himself responded to the post, commenting: “Likewise, so beautiful just like you. Happy Anniversary!” The Back to the Future star then shared his own tribute, writing: “35 years of laughter, living, listening and loving you @tracy.pollan. Thank you for it all. Forever yours, Mike.”
Pollan, also bursting at the seams with love, replied to her husband’s post, adding: “Love you so much.”
But it’s not just the two of them who are over the moon at this grand and beautiful milestone as the comment section was rife with thousands of people sending their best regards too.
One person wrote: “Happy Anniversary! So I guess I should give up on my 35 year old crush…”
Another commented: “I remember being a heartbroken 14 year old when I heard this beautiful actress had stolen the heart of my youth tv crush. Today, it warms my heart to see the longevity, strength, love and joy this couple have shared for so many years. Happy Anniversary! You’re both so blessed to have each other.”
A third added: “Congratulations to the two of you. 35 years is a big number. My wife and I are also celebrating 35 years together today, exactly today, it was not plan to get married the same day that you did.”
The happy couple have four children together.
They have brought so much happiness into the world. Let’s hope they continue to do so for many more years.
