A couple have received huge backlash after bragging about their ‘DINK’ lifestyle

Lily Anne and her husband Evan are both 21 years old, and took to TikTok, as all Gen Zers do, to take part in a trend called “we’re of course”.

The trend involves people listing assumed traits from a group they belong to.

In the case of Lily Anne and Evan, they chose their ‘DINK’ identity – meaning dual income, no kids.

“We’re DINKs,” she said in one of their recent videos. “We’re gonna get asked daily when we plan on having kids.”

Evan added: “We’re DINKs! Of course we’re gonna go out to eat every night after work.”

“We don’t have to ask our family for financial help or watch our kid when we wanna go out,” they also said.

Another assumption included: “We are going to go to Costco and buy all the snacks that we want.”

Within just three days, the TikTok had racked up over four million views, and it has proven to be controversial to say the least.

“Got a kid, we still do all this,” one commenter wrote, adding: “While living in a camper and travelling wherever we want.”

A second put: “Wait, kids don’t allow you to do these things? My wife and I must be doing something right.”

“I have two kids and still do all these things,” a third wrote.
