Video: The Rock stars in live-action ‘Bambi’ remake

Don’t pretend like you haven’t seen the original...

Following on from the blockbuster success of live-action remakes of Cinderella, Snow White and Alice in Wonderland, it was only a matter of time before Disney would re-imagine another one of its classics.

And here it is: From the director of Fast and Furious 7, comes Bambi: Let’s Get Bucked, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

There’s even a special role for Vin Diesel as Thumper:

Unfortunately for all you Disney and The Rock fans out there, this is not the teaser trailer for the greatest action movie since Con Air.  Saturday Night Live put this satirical sketch together, mocking the trend for live-action remakes of timeless classics, as part of an episode The Rock hosted last week.

Still, we can dream.
