The actor says there's no point getting aggravated by porky puns because it's a natural target.
He told Entertainment Tonight: "You have the last name Bacon, stuff comes up. Bacon, food jokes. When you spend your life dealing with it, to keep denying it and get irritated by it, I was fighting a losing battle."
So much so, he's decided to go the other way and truly embrace it; he performs with his brother Michael in The Bacon Brothers. The band invited a fan dressed as a rasher of bacon on stage during a recent show in New Jersey.
