Atom and Humber have lost their brilliant banner at the Emirates

No longer the good boys they thought they were

You can consider that the final nail in the coffin.

Arsenal have finally removed the famous Atom and Humber banner from the stands at the Emirates Stadium.

The banner was still up on Saturday, when the Gunners thrashed Crystal Palace 4-1, but after Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United made it over the line on Monday, the decision was made to take it down ahead of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against London rivals Chelsea.

Fresh from our exclusive interview with both Humber and Atom, the pair will not be surprised to discover that the Emirates faithful no longer consider either of them a good boy.

The dogs have officially switched their allegiances, with both pictured in United jerseys on Sanchez’s Instagram on Tuesday evening.

“Atom and Humber are my mates, my kids, the ones who are with me every day and who I spend time with,” the Chile international told MUTV.

“They see me when I get home tired and feeling a bit low, and they understand you and how you are every day.

“They are the ones who are there for you after a defeat, or a win, and they are always waiting for you with the same expression on their faces. It’s worth a lot that they understand you and just want to make you happy.”

There have been rumours that the banner, or a newer version of it at least, will be displayed at Old Trafford for the Red Devils’ next home game, a Premier League clash with Huddersfield on Saturday week.

But one thing’s for sure, neither Atom nor Humber are considered good boys at the Emirates any longer.
