This is certainly a novel way to celebrate.
During the Monday night NFL game between the San Diego Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Chargers' quarter-back Philip Rivers threw his second touchdown of the night to Antonio Gates.
He was understandably chuffed about his assist, and so celebrated with the age-old clenched fist punch of joy - but this wasn't your standard air shot of celebration.
No, it seems that Rivers spotted a bird flying past and decided to punch the passing passerine clean out of the sky. That's what it looked like to avid American football viewers anyway...

Did Rivers cruelly KO a feathered victim just for the sheer hell of it? Judge for yourselves...
Update: It seems as though it might have been his glove, rather than a bird. Plenty weren't sure, though.
