In a message to viewers of HBO Asia, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Piven were all on hand to promote the series and upcoming movie.
In a preemptive attempt to atone for his character’s outrageous behaviour towards Lloyd Lee (played by Rex Lee), Piven made a heartfelt/tongue-in-cheek apology.
“A little disclaimer. I play a character named Ari Gold who was vicious to an Asian assistant named Lloyd, and I’d like to apologise for eight seasons of that –Â I’m sorry,” said the deadpan actor.
Let’s hope Ari doesn’t develop similar levels of empathy and remorse for the cinema release later in the year…
