Tearful Andy Murray can’t keep a lid on his emotions after Wimbledon win

That's right. In the same summer that everyone mocked Scotland for not getting to the Euros, a Scotsman got his hands on a trophy on the day of the final.

It took him three sets to see off Milos Raonic - the man that defeated Roger Federer in the semi-finals - winning 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2).

And not for the first time on Centre Court, Murray found it difficult to hold back the tears in the seconds after he'd won Championship point.

https://twitter.com/Wimbledon/status/752171527722954753 This is Murray's second Wimbledon title, having last won at SW19 back in 2013. After being presented with the trophy, Murray regained most of his composure in time to speak to Sue Barker.

"It's the most important tournament for me," he explained. "I've had some great moments here and some tough losses. The wins feel extra special because of the tough losses." "I'm proud to have my hands on the trophy again."
