Celtic fans congratulate Rangers on achieving SPL status ‘for first time’

It's difficult to think of a more hardcore rivalry in British sport than the one between Glasgow's two most popular football clubs.

For the past four years, Celtic have seemed strangely lonely in the Scottish Premier League without Rangers after their oldest rivals were, depending on your point of view, either relegated to the fourth tier of Scottish football or disbanded entirely in 2012. Although Sevco Scotland Limited, the owners of Rangers, officially changed their name to Rangers Football Club Limited in July of 2012, not everyone believes they are the same club.
