Audi creates new diesel fuel using just air and water

That's the electric car f*cked then...

Ben Kenyon

Audi makes very nice cars.

But the German manufacturer might very well have just saved the world.

The old ‘Vorsprung durch technik’ thing they’ve got going on has helped give birth to a new carbon-neutral fuel.

We might not have to call in Captain Planet after all.

The German geniuses (genii?) claim to have created the synthetic e-diesel using just carbon dioxide and water.

Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka (yes that’s her real name – grow up) put the first five litres into her official car, an Audi A8 3.0 TDI clean diesel quattro.

Audi believes it could be the breakthrough in green fuel that will allow long-distance travel with virtually no environmental impact.

Let’s burn some carbon to celebrate.
