The German geniuses (genii?) claim to have created the synthetic e-diesel using just carbon dioxide and water.
Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka (yes that's her real name - grow up) put the first five litres into her official car, an Audi A8 3.0 TDI clean diesel quattro.
Audi believes it could be the breakthrough in green fuel that will allow long-distance travel with virtually no environmental impact.
Let's burn some carbon to celebrate.
