Harry Potter star trades ice cream van for ‘redhead’ Ferrari

JOE

Everyone has their reasons for buying a Ferrari, but ginger pride is rarely one of them.

Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint traded his ice cream van (more on that later) for a Ferrari Testarossa, purely because the name translates to ‘redhead’ in Italian.

The strawberry blond Grint parted with £200,000 for the car, which he said was “something I’ve always wanted”.

Now, back to the ice cream van. The 26-year-old has owned the vehicle for several years, but told presenter Alan Davies on ITV4 show Goodwood: “I always think there’s something a bit creepy about me driving round giving ice-creams to children so I’ve refrained from that!”

With his new Ferrari, it seems Grint has moved onto something a little cooler.

Now to work on that ginger emoji
