Amber Heard has challenged ex-husband Johnny Depp to an interview after he commented on her own with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie.
Amber Heard’s landmark interview with the
TODAY show is set to air today (June 17). Snippets have been released throughout the week, many of which triggered fans of the
Edward Scissorhands actor.
In response to the interview's impending release, Depp's team released a statement reading: “‘It’s unfortunate that while Johnny is looking to move forward with his life, the defendant and her team are back to repeating, reimagining and re-litigating matters that have already been decided by the court and a verdict that was unequivocally decided by a jury in Johnny’s favour.”
But Heard’s team have since responded, challenging the actor to undertake a similar interview.

“If Mr Depp or his team have a problem with this, we recommend that Johnny himself sit down with Savannah Gutherie for an hour and answer all her questions,” a spokesperson for
Heard told Metro.
Snippets of Heard’s interview have already gone viral despite the full show airing tonight. In an earlier clip, the Aquaman actor admitted that she still has love for Depp, 58.
You see, on the first day of the case, the 36-year-old actress claimed: "I still have love for Johnny." This statement was repeated to Heard by the Guthrie, who questioned whether it is still true.

"Yes," Heard replied quickly before adding, "Absolutely. I love him. I loved him with all my heart and I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work, and I couldn't."
She also claimed to have "no bad feelings or ill will" for Depp.
