Amber Heard has spoken out about the hordes of people that came to support Johnny Depp during his defamation trial, saying they made her feel "less than human."
The Aquaman actor told the TODAY show, in another preview released before her first interview, that she faced a "courtroom full of Jack Sparrow fans" when she took the stand three weeks into the trial. He was awarded $10.35m in damages after the six-week hearing.
Heard said The Pirates of the Caribbean star's supporters, who lined the roads leading to the court house in Fairfax County, Virginia and swarmed social media, "made her feel less than human."
In the interview with Savannah Guthrie, Heard also spoke on the jury's impartiality and how even "the most well-intentioned juror" could have been swayed by the narrative surrounding Heard and Depp.
Heard's lawyer Elaine Bredehoft had previously spoken on how the non-sequestered jury was able to view the enormous amount of anti-Heard content circulating on the web, some of which was wholly inaccurate.

"I think even the most well-intentioned juror…it would have been impossible to avoid this. Every single day I passed three, four, sometimes six city blocks lined with people holding signs saying 'Burn the Witch,' 'Death to Amber," she explained. "After three and a half weeks, I took the stand and saw a courtroom packed full of Captain Jack Sparrow fans who were vocal, energized."
She added: "This was the most humiliating and horrible thing I've ever been through," she continued. "I have never felt more removed from my own humanity. I felt less than human."
Whether you like Heard or not, the amount of abuse she has received is undeniable and inexcusable.
The full interview will air Friday.
