Redhead banned from school for being TOO ginger

Well red student...

Nooruddean Choudry

A sixth form student has been told she will be barred from lessons just weeks before her A-Levels – for being too ginger…

Emily Reay, 17, has been banned from attending Trinity School in Carlisle, Cumbria, until she changes her trademark look to a more ‘natural’ colour.

Despite having auburn hair by nature, Emily is a ginge by choice and has made the look her trademark as she embarks on a singing career.

But her school caught the 17-year-old red headed and ordered her to tone down the ‘vibrancy’ of her magnificently fiery locks.

“When they told me I just burst into tears – I was so angry. I’ve had the same colour for the past three years, and nobody at school has commented on it. Everyone knows me as that ‘young ginger singer’,” lamented the strawberry songstress.

We say if it’s good enough for Ed Sheeran, Rupert Grint, Tim Minchin and Jessica Chastain, it’s good enough for Trinity School. Vive Le Rouge!
