That’s right, folks. According to the Daily Mail, bookies have slashed the odds on Damian Lewis being the next James Bond from 25/1 to just 3/1 “after a flurry of bets were made on the actor”.
The Homeland star is still only the second favourite to take over the role from Daniel Craig, with Idris Elba still the bookies hot favourite as the lead for the next 007 film.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams told the Daily Telegraph: “This is an unprecedented gamble, as for no apparent reason we have seen bets of up to £200 on Damian Lewis being named as the next Bond. This might well be significant.”
