Former Arsenal midfielder tells Paul Pogba to sort his attitude out

"It gets tiresome when you're sulking permanently."

Manchester United went out of the Champions League the other night.

There’s a good chance you already knew this information.

There’s also a fair chance you’re aware that Paul Pogba hasn’t had the best of times in recent weeks, either.

Despite starting the season reasonably well, the French midfielder has struggled for form of late, so much so that he’s not been guaranteed a starting berth in Jose Mourinho’s team.

Although his reaction to his teammates’ win over Liverpool last weekend went a long way to calming down rumours of a falling out with his manager, the part he played in United’s loss to Sevilla on Tuesday has been enough to guarantee him a spot in the headlines.

After being on the wrong end of a dig from the Valencia manager, it’s now emerged that former French international Emmanuel Petit has told Pogba to sort his attitude out.

Speaking on RMC, the ex-Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder said: “I’ll give him [Pogba] a little bit of advice – change attitude a bit.

“He should stop making it a Mourinho-Pogba duel because the club of Manchester United is much more important than those two guys.

“Right now, he’s making it personal and you can clearly see that on the pitch as he is sending out a lot of negative signals.

“It gets tiresome when you’re sulking permanently.”
