UEFA have amended an article in there Safety and Security Regulations

Fans attending UEFA Champions League matches in the United Kingdom will be able to consume alcohol as of next season after UEFA decided to lift its ban on serving booze at matches. The amended article 36 of UEFA's Safety and Security Regulations reads: “The match organiser may only sell or distribute alcohol within the stadium or its private environs if and within the limits permitted under the national and local law as applicable from time to time.“ Local laws will now apply, meaning fans in Germany, where fans are permitted to drink alcohol in sight of the pitch, will be able to do so at Champions League matches as well as Bundesliga games. However in the United Kingdom, where drinking alcohol at matches is not permitted in the stands, only in the concourses, fans will no enjoy such luxury.
