A secret notebook from the Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard trial has appeared on eBay, with the current top bid clocking in at more than $14k (£11.1k) According to TMZ, Larry Foreman travelled from Kentucky to Fairfax County courthouse in Virginia, where he was lucky enough to bag a seat for the defamation trial between ex-partners Depp, 58, and Heard, 36. During his stint in the courtroom, Foreman decided to take notes and observations and continued to return after friends urged him to further pursue his reporting, Writing about 20 pages a day, Foreman's notes cover days 23 to 26 of the million-dollar defamation trial. Foreman's notes also contain reactions from the jurors, which were not televised as part of the trial.
While many would undoubtedly argue that profiting off such a case is morally wrong, TMZ reports that Foreman plans to donate his earnings to Children's Hospital LA.
Heard had previously promised to donate her divorce settlement of $3.5m to the same hospital, something which was used against her in court. However while she maintained that she "pledged" to donate the money, Depp's lawyers argued that she had has not done so yet.
Children's Hospital LA is reportedly aware of the auction and is pleased about the offer.
Depp's recent appearance on TikTok spurred another public statement from Heard, who had remained fairly elusive since her defeat.
"As Johnny Depp says he's 'moving forward,' women's rights are moving backward," she said in a message released by Law and Crime reporter Cathy Russon.
She added: "The verdict's message to victims of domestic violence is [to] be afraid to stand up and speak out."
