Joe Rogan has revealed the reason why has never had Donald Trump on his podcast – despite having the opportunity to sit down with him on more than one occasion.

In an interview with scientist Lex Fridman, Rogan spoke about the former president while speaking about current President Joe Biden’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Asked whether he thinks Trump could win the next presidential race, the American podcaster said: “Well he’s [Trump] running against a dead man. Biden shakes hands with people that aren’t even there when he gets off stage. I think he’s seeing ghosts. [Did you] see him on Jimmy Kimmel the other day? He was just rambling.”

He continued: “If he was anyone else – if he was a Republican, if that was Donald Trump doing that – every f*****g talk show would be screaming for him to be off the air.”

Rogan then revealed he wouldn’t have Trump on The Joe Rogan Experience because he’s “not interested in helping him”.

The podcaster said: “I’m not a Trump supporter, in any way, shape or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once, I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

Fridman pointed out that Rogan has had other controversial figures on his podcast before, such as Kanye West, but the podcaster was quick to defend himself.

“Kanye’s an artist. Kanye doing well or not doing well doesn’t change the course of our country,” he said.

Earlier this year, Rogan came under pressure for spreading misinformation regarding covid on the infamous The Joe Rogan Experience. This led Neil Young to pull his music from Spotify, with a number of other musicians, including Joni Mitchell, doing the same.

Rogan later threatened to quit podcasting if he starts to feel like he is being censored.
