Four people have been stabbed at a music festival in east London.

Two of the victims were airlifted to hospital with serious stab wounds and two others were treated for knife injuries at Garage Nation festival on Saturday evening.

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to Hainault Forest Country Park at 7.30pm on Saturday June 30.

All four of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, a Met Police spokesman said.

There have been no arrests and inquiries continue.

Witness Mel Dee tweeted that the stabbing was the “scariest” thing she had ever seen.

“Just saw someone get stabbed right in front of me at garage nation.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. Why do people do this? It was honestly the scariest thing I’ve ever witnessed.

“He got cut so deep I could see like the layers of his skin it was so bad.”

Garage artist H.G L-I-N-K-S tweeted: “Morons with knifes killing each other and when you stab each other you stab and kill our garage scene. Let me tell you carry a blade and you have nothing to do with what real garage music is.”

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Officers from the East Area Command Unit are investigating. At this stage, it is believed that all four men were injured in a single incident.”
