It's long been an issue with the PlayStation Network but it finally appears to be coming to an end: as of today gamers can change their usernames.
I know. I know. Deep breaths, X_scifininja_X. Calm down WankBot4000.
"We're excited to announce that the online ID change feature on PSN is officially launching to all PlayStation 4 owners later today," Sony's social media director, Sid Shuman, stated on the PlayStation Blog. "You'll also be able to change your online ID via a web browser, and that feature will also be available starting today."
ID changes are available via a PS4 or web browser. You can make the first change for free but subsequent changes will cost £8, and £4 for PS Plus subscribers.
This may seem like a very minor thing but PlayStation gamers have been without the ability to change their ill-fated gamertags ever since the PlayStation Network's launch all the way back in 2006.
