Single? Lonely? Ripped? Try speed dating circuit training this Valentine’s Day

Do you even date, bro?

Rich Cooper

Are you looking for someone who shares your love of lifting? Tired of having no one to knock back protein shakes with? Have you thought of trying speed dating circuit training?

You may not have even heard of speed dating circuit training, but that changes as of the moment you finish reading this sentence… nnnnnnnow. Now you’ve heard of it.

Personal training company Ultimate Performance Fitness are running Valentine’s Day speed dating events in London and Manchester, where people can meet and have a chat while undergoing a rigorous workout.

“The class will involve 10 high-intensity workout stations, where 10 men and 10 women can work out in couples for two minutes before moving on to the next exercise and the next person,” say UP Fitness.

“Men and women will rotate around the circuit in opposite directions so they will get to work out with a new partner at every station.”

Sounds good, right? If you like lifting heavy things, that is. Personal trainers will be on hand to guide participants, putting them through their paces while they get to know each other.

Don’t be put off if you’re not a regular gym rat, though. The workouts promise to be “intense”, but “will be scaled to cater to all abilities”.

If you’re the kind of masochist who enjoys the dual tortures of exercise and dating, this is probably the event for you.

Running at UP Fitness gyms in Manchester, London City and Mayfair, tickets are £20 with all proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation.
