Introducing a French person to Peep Show for the first time

Alex Roberts

Why toast when you can roast?

Peep Show is a British television institution. The adventures of Mark Corrigan and Jeremy Usborne, written by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, with additional material by leading actors David Mitchell and Robert Webb, is filled with some of the best lines a TV show has ever produced.

It appeared on our screens for more than 12 years and in truth only got better with age. But does it travel well? Each culture has its own touchstones and references which make sense to them, but that don’t necessarily make sense to people from elsewhere.

With this in mind, we decided to introduce to Peep Show to a French person who has neither seen nor heard of the show ever before. Did they like it? Watch to find out.
