Is Gerard Pique focusing more on rivals Real Madrid than his own responsibilities with Barcelona?
Madrid’s ex-Liverpool full-back Alvaro Arbeloa certainly thinks so, as do his team-mates.
“Maybe one day I’ll pop The Comedy Club on and he’ll be on there talking about Madrid,” Arbeloa is reported as saying in the Daily Mirror, describing the former Manchester United centre-back as “obsessed”.
Pique famously mocked Rafa Benitez’s team for fielding an ineligible player in the Copa Del Rey, a move which saw the club kicked out of the competition.
Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, said the mocking tweet “doesn’t even deserve a comment”.
Pique continues to receive flak from the crowd whenever he plays in the Spanish capital, so much so that the national team moved the recent friendly against England to Alicante.
