The Spaniard's latest act of wokeness came in the form of a tweet offering support to women in the fight against abortion restrictions as several America states pass laws stripping women's rights to their bodily autonomy.
"I wanted to see if anyone from our industry would speak out about the abortion bill, but I guess people are too scared," the Arsenal star said.
"This isn't just an issue for women, it's one for every human being. We fight for equality and this is something men should fight for and not hide away from."

Missouri is the latest state to pass restrictive laws on abortion that would outlaw almost all abortions at eight-weeks of pregnancy.
Alabama have passed the most severe laws, implementing a complete ban, making the provision of an abortion a felony punishable with a prison sentence.
The pro-choice backlash has been strong, but Bellerin is the only male footballer to speak up against the restrictive, anti-abortion laws.
