After a hugely entertaining 2025 Ryder Cup we can all look ahead to the 2027 edition at Adare Manor.
A big talking point at last year's tournament was the sheer price of tickets, which, before the event, were around €640 for Fri-Sun - although prices did drop for Sunday when Europe built up a commanding lead - €217 for Tue-Wed practice days, and €360 for Thursday's practice, junior exhibition, and opening ceremony.
Tickets have already been released for the 2027 Ryder Cup, but only through premium packages, with prices starting at around €717.
Judging by these numbers, regular tickets will be cheaper than this year, but probably more expensive than the €250 we saw at the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome.
However, if you want to save a buck or two, you can go to the Ryder Cup as a volunteer. And registrations have opened up this week.
Approximately 2,000 volunteer roles will be available, with 24,000 registrations of interest already as of Thursday morning.
Kit Gartrell, Ryder Cup Event Delivery Director at the European Tour Group, said: “The 2027 Ryder Cup will be the biggest sporting event that Ireland has ever staged and the world will be watching.
“Our volunteers will have the opportunity to be at the heart of this iconic event and be part of history. We have already had more than 24,000 expressions of interest in these roles on our website, which shows the passion for the event.
“For our Ambassador role, we want to encourage applications from a diverse pool of people to showcase the country’s famously warm and welcoming hospitality to the thousands of visitors from across the globe who will visit the region.
“Applications are also live for the hugely important Marshal role. The country has a strong track record of hosting major international golf tournaments, with a strong network of Marshals already in existence as a result. We want to tap into this expertise, and identify new talent, to make sure the 2027 Ryder Cup delivers a best-in-class experience for players and fans.”
The 2027 Ryder Cup will take place at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland, from 13-19 September 2027. It will be the second time that Ireland has hosted the event, following the K Club in Kildare in 2006.
There are two volunteer roles available; as a marshal you will shepherding crowds around the course, making sure they move safely and do not interfere with play; as an ambassador, you will be stationed at locations such as the media centre and fan hub, answering questions etc.
Applicants are expected to commit to five days of volunteering, completing one shift per day.
Successful applicants are expected to be informed in August 2026.
Good luck!
