He will testify in court on Monday.

Arsenal’s pursuit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be halted after the Borussia Dortmund striker was reportedly called to testify in court next Monday over the bombing that the German team’s bus suffered last season.

The suspect, Sergei W is on trial for the attack which occurred on April 11 last year right in front of Dortmund’s team bus as they were on their way to Signal Iduna Park for their Champions League clash against Monaco.

Dortmund defender Marc Bartra was injured in the attack and he will join Aubameyang in court to testify, reports German newspaper Bild

Arsenal are chasing the Aubameyang, hoping to reunite him with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who joined from Manchester United yesterday as Alexis Sánchez went the other way to Manchester United.

The two clubs have not yet agreed a fee but Arsenal hope to secure the Gabonese forward before the end of the window, which closes on Wednesday evening. Aubameyang is due to appear in court on Monday 29th January, leaving only two days after their testimony to conclude a deal.

The striker has been prolific for Dortmund, but the club are open to offers for a player some have labelled a troublemaker. He is currently serving his third disciplinary punishment in the past year after he missed a team meeting.

Arsenal have reportedly offered £45m, but Dortmund are holding out for £60m for their most prized asset.
