Meet the woman who hasn’t farted in front of her boyfriend in over five years

Three dates? A few months? Once you've met the parents? Well, for this woman from Brisbane, Australia, the answer appears to be "five years... and counting". Radio listeners in Australia were stunned by claims from Brisbane man Stewart Reed who claims Marissa Goodsell, his girlfriend of five years, has never farted in front of him. Five years. No farts.

Stewart was entering a radio competition deciding who should be the namesake for a ski run in Mount Buller, Victoria; he figured his fun fact about Marissa (now dubbed 'Windless Marissa') would get her the nod. Stewart was right - Marissa won the competition with 44 per cent of the public vote. Marissa seems to have taken her competition win in good stride, saying winning the competition was "really weird but really awesome" in an interview with NT News. Explaining how she manages the Herculean task, Marissa said:

"I don’t know why I don’t do it, I don’t even think it’s a big deal. We are really open with everything else, but I don’t just don’t fart in front of him, I don’t know why, I just don’t like doing it."

She also added that Stewart farts in front of her all the time. As long as the pair are happy and in love with each other, good on 'em.
