Rockstar Games could announce the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI as early as this week according to people who are familiar with their plans.
Bloomberg reports that the company will then publish a trailer for GTA6 in December to commemorate Rockstar's 25th anniversary.
The sources linked to Rockstar have remained anonymous as they are not authorised to speak publicly.
Last year, hackers broke into the Rockstar Games servers and released early footage from GTA VI. Rockstar slammed the release, calling it a "network intrusion" and said that they would "properly introduce you to this next game when it is ready".
Two teens were convicted of the hack in a trial earlier this year.
Bloomberg has also reported that GTA VI will take place in a fictional version of Miami and will feature two protagonists, a man and a woman.
