The latest release of the Epstein files has led to a host of conspiracy theories surrounding late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
From claims that the financier is still alive and living in Israel to reports that he was a KGB agent working for Russia, the internet is flush with conspiracies.
However, one theory became so widespread that it forced Fortnite creators Epic Games to respond to the claims.
The latest release of files has made some huge revelations about Epstein, including that he had an Xbox Live account that was permanently banned for an unknown reason.
The files also revealed an alias that appeared in multiple receipts from YouTube - 'littlestjeff1' - which many believe may have been connected to Epstein's own YouTube account.
Online detectives have gone wild with searching for this username elsewhere, and they did come across an account with this same name on popular online battle royale game Fortnite.
Internet detectives were stunned to find that the account was active as recently as last year, and was made private this week, adding fuel to theories that Epstein is still alive.
However, Fortnite have spoken out to debunk claims that this account has anything at all to do with Epstein.
In a statement on X, they said the whole thing was a "ruse by a Fortnite player."
"A few days ago, an existing Fortnite account owner changed their username from something totally unrelated to littlestjeff1, following the revelation of littlestjeff1 as a name on YouTube," they said.
"These Fortnite trackers only display your current name, not any prior changes to it.
"We have no record of the subject's email addresses referenced in the public document existing in the Epic account system.
"Since the public document releases, people have created Fortnite accounts with similar-looking email addresses and user names."
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney also weighed in on the matter.
"Someone's been having fun renaming their Fortnite account, but it's recent and not connected to the email addresses in the archive," he wrote.
