Men should ejaculate at least 21 times a month, according to study
Just what the doctor ordered.
Science has now proven that masturbating is good for you, meaning instead of going to the gym, you can simply stay home and enjoy your own company more than most people would say is normal. If anyone dares to call you out on it, turn to them and say: "Hey, this is for science."
Researchers at Harvard University found that men who ejaculate at least 21 times a month could see their chances of getting prostate cancer slashed by a third. The study was published in European Urology in 2016 and surveyed 31,925 men.
The test subjects were asked to fill out three questionnaires about ejaculation frequency between 1992 and 2010. The results show that those who ejaculated more frequently saw a dramatic reduction in prostate cancer rates.
The study said:
"We evaluated whether ejaculation frequency throughout adulthood is related to prostate cancer risk in a large US-based study.
"We found that men reporting higher compared to lower ejaculatory frequency in adulthood were less likely to be subsequently diagnosed with prostate cancer.
"These findings provide additional evidence of a beneficial role of more frequent ejaculation throughout adult life in the etiology of PCa [prostate cancer], particularly for low-risk disease."
It has also been proven that masturbation dramatically reduces stress and anxiety due to your brain releasing Endorphins.
"In addition to decreased feelings of pain, secretion of endorphins leads to feelings of euphoria, modulation of appetite, the release of sex hormones, and enhancement of the immune response," says Medicine Net.
Masturbation is also renowned for aiding in sleep, which I am sure many of you reading this also know as fact. By releasing hormones like Prolactin and Oxytocin, your body naturally becomes more drowsy and ready for bed.
So just remember, next time you are feeling stressed, overtires, or you just want to keep your prostate in working order, say to yourself: "Don't hate, ejaculate."
