Someone warn Des Kelly

Jurgen Klopp is known for lots of things: an exciting style of play, a charismatic approach to life and more often than not, a good old moan at the fixture list.

The Liverpool boss has made his feelings well known on the hectic scheduling in recent years and this season it will be more congested than ever.

Due to FIFA’s definitely not money-fuelled decision to award Qatar the World Cup, the infamous summer tournament will actually be taking place in winter this year.

Liverpool have a difficult run of fixtures after each Champions League fixture

With that the league has to take a brief hiatus meaning that games are being moved around to ensure the full calendar can be played.

The Champions League is also affected, with games taking place on the following dates: September 6/7, September 13/14 , October 4/5, October 11/12, October 25/26 and November 1/2.

But what will anger Klopp even more is seeing the daunting fixtures that await after each Champions League game week, with his Liverpool side arguably facing the toughest on paper.

The six games that follow after their European fixtures see the Reds face four of the proclaimed ‘big six’ – something that will no doubt be an absolute delight to Klopp…

The fixtures are as follows: Chelsea (September 17), Arsenal (October 8), Manchester City (October 15) and Tottenham (November 5).

Klopp has bolstered his squad with a major signing up front ahead of next season

Of course the season is long and tiring and as proven last season, can go right to the wire, but Klopp will not be happy looking at these games.

After missing out on the Premier League and Champions League titles by nothing more than a fine margin last season, the German is keen to take the title back from Man City.

Klopp has already bolstered his squad with the signing of Darwin Nunez from Benfica and could look to strengthen his squad even further as he prepares to challenge on all four fronts once again.
