Philip Schofield has been branded a “prat” by TalkTV host James Whale after his queue jumping stunt.

Thousands of people have been queueing for hours on end to walk past the Queen’s coffin in Westminster Hall and pay their respects to the late monarch.

The queue has stretched to more than five miles long, and at the time of writing the estimated waiting time is up to 24 hours.

But some celebs and MPs have been criticised for ‘queue jumping’ and avoiding the lengthy waiting time.

‘This Morning’ presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were slammed by many for skipping the line. The ITV hosts joined a separate queue for press as they filmed a segment for Tuesday’s episode of ‘This Morning,’ the Daily Express reports.

Speaking to Lizzie Cundy on his TalkTV show last night, James said: “What’s your views on Phillip Schofield?

“Come on, answer the question. I know you know him quite well. It’s disgusting isn’t it.

“He pushed in the queue. He didn’t care.”

Lizzie replied: “I think everyone should queue like everybody else.

“I’m not happy with anyone pushing in, whether you’re an MP or a celebrity. It’s not a night club.

“This is to give respect to our Queen.”

James agreed, adding: “I think Holly and Phil should be absolutely ashamed of themselves because they’re young and fit.

“I think it’s appalling. What are they? TV presenters? There’s no reason [to skip].”

He then demanded Lizzie pass on a message to the ITV presenters.

James said: “When you see your friend Phillip Schofield, please tell him I think he’s a complete and utter prat. Will you do that?”

Lizzie refused to be pushed into criticising Phil individually, but repeated that “everyone should have to queue”.

It comes after Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid, 51, revealed that she queued for seven hours with her mum to see Queen Elizabeth II lying in state on Thursday.

Yesterday, David Beckham was spotted queuing overnight – and eventually paid his respects 13 hours later.
