The Met Police officer has been convicted for being part of a neo-Nazi terrorist group
London Metropolitan Police officer, Benjamin Hannam, was found guilty of being a member of the far-right extremist group, National Action, a the start of this month. He has now been sentenced to four years and four months in prison
The neo-Nazi Met Police officer, aged just 22, was also convicted of fraudulent police applications and possessing documents deemed dangerous and useful to a terrorist.
Hannam is the first serving British officer to be convicted of a terrorism offence is believed to have earned over £66,000 pounds since 2018 through said fraudulent documents.
Some of the items in question were a manual for making explosive devices and a 'knife-fighting guide' written by Anders Behring Breivik - the man responsible for murdering 77 people in Norway in 2011. There was also anti-semitic material uncovered from Hannam's possessions.
