The lawyer is said to be dating a British real estate agent
Johnny Depp‘s lawyer Camille Vasquez has slammed the baseless and “sexist” rumours that she is dating the actor after his defamation case victory against ex-wife Amber Heard.
Camille Vasquez became a celebrity in her own right during the six-week trial and her rapport with the Pirates of the Carribean star led to suggestions the pair were romantically linked.
The 37-year-old told People magazine the claims are “entirely, 100 per cent, unequivocally untrue.”
“I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job,” she said. “It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny — who is a friend and I’ve known and represented for four-and-a-half years now — that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear.”
Vasquez had earlier confirmed that she was in a “happy relationship”.
On her suggested relationship with the Dark Shadows actor, Vasquez said: “If I could provide any bit of comfort, then of course I would do that, whether it’s holding his hand or letting him know that we were there and we were going to fight for him because he deserved it.”

Vasquez’s newfound fame has served her career well, having earned herself a promotion to partner after just four years at the Brown Rudnick law firm.
Brown Rudnick chair and CEO William Baldiga announced the news via a press release: “We are delighted to welcome Camille to the partnership.
Johnny Depp’s attorneys, on National TV, explain his immediate reaction to the verdict…
Camille Vasquez: “A mutual friend said I haven’t seen him smile like that in 6 years.”

“Historically, we have reserved this announcement for the end of our fiscal year. But Camille’s performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she was ready to take this next step now.
“We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to what she will accomplish as our newest partner.”
